Tri-M Missionaries
TRI-M is an international church leadership training program. TRI-M is an acronym for Mobile Modular Ministry. It is a portable theological training program that takes theological education to isolated third world areas and presents the training to their ministry-minded students in their local community. TRI-M is national church initiated and a peer to peer ministry where the TRI-M team teaches their students the sound doctrine of Scripture through the grid of their own ministry experience with care given not to import American culture. Each of the students receive a detailed syllabus translated into the local dialect and the class instruction is orally translated.
Why train national pastors?
A. The Biblical mandate. This ministry model is rooted in 2 Timothy 2:2 “and what you have heard from me in the presence of many witnesses entrust to faithful men who will be able to teach others also.” This is a practical discipling and mentoring ministry where TRI-M and invited adjunct teachers come along side of those who are called but not trained, providing necessary Biblical and practical training.
B. The lack of biblical training centers in many third world communities. In many places where churches have been established there are no adequate local training institutes. TRI-M presenters come into those communities with detailed theological instruction providing face to face training and mentoring. In many cases this training material enhances the library of these church leaders in their own language
How does Tri-M seek to accomplish its mission?
Through systematic, structured Bible teaching focused on:
- Intellectual knowledge – acquisition of Truth;
- Internalized knowledge – personal application of Truth;
- Applied knowledge – transfer of Truth in ministry
Through mentoring leadership
- By modeling;
- By focusing on potential leaders and encouraging those leaders;
- By integrating new leaders into ministry;
- By providing resources (curriculum; evaluation; literature; counsel)
